Your engagement photos should be a fun, less formal precursor to your wedding day photos. You may use these photos for your save-the-dates, your wedding day programs or even your invitations, so you'll want to look your best. Here are some ides for spring and summer engagements:

Pastels:

There's no season like spring to break out a cheerful color palette when deciding what to wear for engagement photos. For a no-fail take on this trend, choose cooler pastels like blue, green and purple that work together but don't clash.

Bold Colors:

While you may be tempted to wear all white for your engagement photos (you're going to be the bride after all!), bright colors really pop on camera. o make bright colors work, pick ones that play off each other without being too matchy-matchy, like yellow and blue.

TIPS:

Be yourself. My favorite photos are the ones where the couple looks and feels like themselves. Wearing an outfit you’re comfortable in will only accentuate your style and personality.

Complement each other. Coordinating your outfits a little bit is fine, but don’t wear matching outfits.

Comfort is key. If you have to jump up and down in your jeans to get them to fit, you might want to opt for something you’ll feel more free to move in.

Dress on the same scale. On the day of your photo shoot, you should both look like you’re headed to the same place. Plan on dressing to the nines? Make sure your fiance isn’t wearing a tee with shorts and white sneakers.

Play off the location. Think of your surroundings when picking out colors for your outfit.
